Choose Regulated Qualifications

As we are moving towards government regulations, to become a skin specialist, you would need a practitioner licence, this means to be qualified in the treatments you offer to the public. To work as a skin specialist, it’s important to train with providers offering Ofqual regulated, government approved qualifications. This ensures your training meets the highest standards and is recognised across the industry and you are protected from future regulations.

At Elixir Skin Training, we recommend beginning with:

• Level 3 Qualification – The VTCT Level 3 in Access to Aesthetic Therapies is your entry to becoming a skin specialist. This qualification includes a combination of Level 2 and Level 3 units, therefore you do not need to start at Level 2.
• Level 4 Qualifications – Once you have your Level 3 qualification, you can then enhance your skills by training in advanced skin treatments such as Microneedling, Chemical Peels or Dermaplaning.

Elixir Skin Training works with two awarding organisations that offer Ofqual Regulated Qualifications, they are VTCT and Focus Awards. Our pathway to becoming a qualified skin specialist uses VTCT for the Level 3 qualifications and Focus Awards for the Level 4 Qualifications. This pathway allows us to offer tailored courses to our learners.
